The struggle
Living for everyone else, never feeling good enough, overriding her own intuition and accepting a life that no longer felt like hers
The F.I.T. LIFE Transformation
Real fulfillment, untethered freedom, deeply aligned relationships, a thriving business and a life she's actually participating in
Jenn's life looked full from the outside.
Kids' birthday parties. Homemade cakes. Being at every event. Supporting her partner. She was usually happy and energetic around other people, and genuinely enjoyed being with them.
But inside, she felt completely different.
In her own words, she was "so far removed from who I truly am" and had become "a shell of a human being on the inside." She'd spent years living for everyone else and behaving properly for everyone else, while quietly losing touch with herself.
Eventually, she didn't even have thoughts or wishes for herself. Life was simply what it was. She didn't know any different or have expectations for anything more.
What she craved was simple: to be loved, cared for, respected and appreciated. And because she never felt good enough, she spent years asking herself what she could do better, what more she could do and how she could show up differently to make everyone else happy.
She'd tried therapists, marriage counselling and other forms of support before. But traditional talk therapy hadn't created the change she was looking for.
Then she got a taste of The F.I.T. LIFE Method while providing massage treatments at F.I.T. LIFE Method Retreats.
She witnessed the transformation women in The F.I.T. LIFE Program were experiencing and discovered something she hadn't known was possible. Eventually, she reached a point where she was so ready for something to change that she was willing to try something she'd never tried before.
Jenn entered The F.I.T. LIFE Program thinking she needed to change her circumstances. What unfolded was much deeper. She began changing her relationship with herself.
Through the process of developing the 8 Essential Life Skills, she started questioning the identity she'd accepted for years — the way she'd allowed herself to be treated, what she'd tolerated and what she'd believed she was allowed to expect from life.
Here's how Jenn used the 8 Essential Life Skills to face difficult circumstances, trust what she knew, communicate clearly, set boundaries and move through emotions without letting them dictate her choices. Rather than simply getting through a difficult season, she found herself and built a life she loves living in the process.
1
Self-Connection
Jenn had spent years living for everyone else, to the point where she didn't even have clear thoughts or wishes for herself.
She began reconnecting with who she truly was — what mattered to her, what she wanted, what felt right and what no longer did. She stopped defining herself by how well she could keep everyone else happy and began building a life that actually felt like hers.
2
Elevated Mindset
Jenn had accepted her circumstances as simply "what it was." She didn't know any different or have expectations for anything more.
She learned to open up to perspectives and possibilities she hadn't considered before. Instead of staying in the story of what had happened to her, she learned to ask what was possible from here. As she says, "you don't know what you don't know." Her world expanded as her sense of what was possible expanded.
3
Emotional Regulation
She learned how to move through difficult emotions without getting lost in them. She developed the skills and support to process what was real, create space for what she was feeling and choose how she wanted to respond.
That became especially important as she navigated some deeply challenging circumstances. Looking back, she says she is proud of how she handled situations she knows would have devastated her in the past. She didn't skip the hard emotions. She learned how to move through them.
4
Nervous System Regulation
Jenn describes her nervous system as having been "always on high alert." Even something as basic as sleep had become difficult. As she learned to create more safety, softness and space in her life, her body began responding differently. She started sleeping through the night. Her body began to feel at peace. She describes experiencing a level of peace and ease she couldn't have imagined a few years earlier.
5
Intuitive Discernment
Jenn says her intuition had been telling her the truth many times. The problem wasn't that she couldn't hear it — she didn't trust it, and she didn't believe in herself.
As she strengthened her relationship with herself, she learned to trust her internal compass again — including when life presented her with circumstances that required her to make difficult decisions. That trust has now extended into her business, where she recently followed her intuition on an opportunity that she says was literally "put on a platter" for her. She took it, and it has been nothing but amazing.
6
Elevated Communication
Jenn learned that being authentic meant being willing to speak her truth — clearly and honestly — instead of trying to manage how everyone else might respond.
Today, she describes her relationships as having a completely different level of honesty and openness: "Here's my expectation. Here's what I need. Here's what I can provide. Here's what I can't."
She now surrounds herself with people who can communicate openly, challenge her in healthy ways and appreciate her for who she is. And perhaps most importantly, she says: "I get to be who I am and they like it."
7
Abundance Focus
For years, Jenn had no reason to expect life to be different. She began opening herself to new possibilities and getting specific about what she wanted. At one point, she wrote down a list of what she needed in her business to feel joy — then completely forgot about it. Later, she found the list again. Every single one of the ten things she'd written down had happened. And she discovered something even more powerful: the opportunities didn't always arrive in the form she expected — often, they arrived in an even better form.
8
Aligned Action
Jenn stopped giving her energy away to circumstances, other people's behaviour and the stories she'd been carrying. Instead, she learned to bring the focus back to herself: How do I want to be? How do I want to respond? What do I want going forward?
She describes this shift as a "game changer." Rather than simply talking about what was happening, she developed the skills to move through it, create a new way forward and build a new reality. And the results began showing up everywhere — in her relationships, her business and her health.
"You can make an amazing life for yourself. It really is within your control. Opportunities have presented themselves that I never would have dreamed of. I've experienced what it's like to really be happy and I don't ever want to settle for less."
Jenn, 50
Today Jenn says she is genuinely happy. She has relationships built on honesty, openness and mutual support. She has people around her who challenge her to grow while appreciating her for exactly who she is. Her business is thriving, new opportunities continue to appear and her wellness space has become a place where people feel the energy, safety and connection she's created.
Her health has shifted too. She sleeps. Her body feels safer. Inflammation, pain and other health issues are improving. And she has learned to give herself the grace, space and time to keep healing rather than constantly pushing toward the next thing.
She's no longer waiting for something to happen before she allows herself to feel fulfilled. She stopped settling for anything less than a life that brings her genuine joy. She is present. She is open to possibility. And she is fully participating in her own life.
Jenn says she would tell any woman considering The F.I.T. LIFE Program to "just do it." She believes women deserve to give themselves permission to receive support, guidance and the tools to create an amazing life.
The 8 Essential Life Skills aren't about avoiding life's challenges. They're about developing the skills to move through them to become more fully yourself and create a life that reflects what you truly want. Because you don't know what you don't know — and sometimes the life you think is out of reach is simply the life you haven't yet learned is possible.
