How It All Started
For a long time, I identified as a high achiever. I knew how to work hard, accomplish things, push through and keep striving. But as the demands and responsibilities of life grew, my way of navigating life was keeping me caught in a cycle of burnout.
I started to realize that I needed to find a new way to honour my ambitious, purpose-driven nature as a woman, mom, and entrepreneur who is deeply empathic and attuned — while navigating a world that can feel loud, demanding and deeply disconnected.
And I could see that so many of the women I was working with at the time needed it too.
And this was the beginning of a journey where life, as I knew it, would never be the same.
Born out of necessity, curiosity and a deep desire to make an impact, what began as a professional training in the root cause of anxiety and depression became a decade-and-a-half-long “mild obsession” with finding a new approach to life for women like me and the women I was coaching.
I was on a mission and dove into a myriad of different growth and healing modalities, both personally and professionally. Learning, growing, healing, faltering, figuring things out and walking the path myself — while passionately sharing the wisdom and experience I was gaining along the way.
And often, I was just a few steps ahead of my clients.
My world cracked open at that first training in a way that completely changed the trajectory of my life — as it did for so many of the women who have joined me along the way.
The F.I.T. LIFE Method Was Born
The culmination of all of it led to the approach I live and lead today — a unique way of living that integrates the practical with the spiritual.
A way to bring more meaning, purpose, joy and peace into everyday life while building the skills and inner capacity to navigate the messiness of being human.
A way of living connected to your core essence, in tune with your inner compass, while living, loving and leading from that place.
When we have the capacity to truly connect with ourselves, with one another and with a collective intelligence greater than ourselves, we experience life differently.
I call this Living Connected.
For me, it’s never been about curating a life that looks perfect or impressive.
It’s about creating the capacity and space for what truly matters most to you — a life that’s Fully In Tune with you — your F.I.T. LIFE.
For me, that looks like:
- Having the freedom to design my days and live in a way that feels true to me.
- Finding joy in the everyday moments, like chatting with my kiddos in the car or kitchen or connecting with them over FaceTime from their homes away from home.
- Feeling peace in my body, my home and my relationships. Not because everything is perfect, but because I have the capacity to navigate challenges with more grace and ease.
- Fulfillment. Living, loving and leading in a way that honours my innate nature, my unique brilliance and what I know I’m here to contribute.
- Creating purposeful impact in a way that lights me up through my work as a founder, mentor and coach and also as a mom.
- Choosing to nourish my body, mind and spirit with what I need to feel well, grounded and alive.
- Having the capacity to slow down enough to be fully present, finding the humour in my life and savouring simple pleasures instead of always being productive and thinking about what’s next.
- Creating space to quiet the noise enough to hear my intuition, trust my inner knowing and move with the natural flow of my life rather than constantly pushing against it.
- Feeling at home in myself, confident in who I am, and deeply connected to the people closest to me, my community, and the greater intelligence of life.
When you live connected — body, mind + spirit — you are living your F.I.T. LIFE: A life Fully In Tune with you.
It’s an approach that teaches you how to create the space and capacity to stay connected to yourself while still being able to navigate the complicated realities of life.
My Greatest Teachers + Inspirations
I’m a mom to two kiddos. Both young adults who I absolutely adore. They’re both away at university now, and watching them grow into their own lives has been one of the greatest privileges of mine.
And they couldn’t be more different from each other!
They have completely different personalities, ways of seeing the world and ways of moving through life. Yet both are deeply feeling, thoughtful and perceptive humans — and becoming their mom has taught me so much about who I needed to become to best support them.
They’ve taught me that there isn’t one right way to be, and that truly seeing, understanding and raising another human means learning to meet them where they are — not expecting them to fit into who I think they should be.
Being their mom has been one of the greatest catalysts for my own healing and growth too. It was important to me that I do my best to not pass forward the patterns that hadn’t served me, and to develop the capacity to understand and support them in the ways they actually needed.
And then there is entrepreneurship.
It has brought steep learning curves, tough lessons, incredible rewards and more personal growth than I could have imagined. It has also brought me a beloved community, purpose, meaningful work that makes a real and measurable impact and the opportunity to create something that matters deeply. Not just to me, but to those we serve and my incredible team too.
I treasure that.
Both my kiddos and my business have been among my greatest endeavours — and my greatest teachers.
Where We Are Headed From Here
Nearly two decades in the transformation space, along with motherhood, entrepreneurship and being a woman in midlife, have taught me a lot about what it means to live connected.
And that’s what I’ll be sharing here.
The things I’ve learned through practice and experience. The things I’m continuing to learn. The things I’m noticing now. The sparks of inspired thought that come along the way.
Some of it will be personal. Some practical. Some deeply reflective. And some will be for the coaches and leaders who want to take these ideas deeper into their own work.
But mostly, it will be about navigating this beautiful, complicated, sometimes messy thing we call life in a way that helps you live Fully In Tune with yourself — your F.I.T. LIFE.
If that speaks to you, I’m so glad you’re here.
And if something I share sparks a thought, shifts a perspective or simply makes you feel a little more connected to yourself, I’d love to hear from you.
